How do character, choice, and change influence democracy?

Think about this question as we work through our projects. How do presidential candidates showcase their character? Why is it important that they do? What choice does the public have when it comes to the presidential elections? How do these choices influence candidate campaigns? How do these choices influence change in democracy?
